FAQs

Can you replace damaged body panels and fiberglass on an RV?

Yes. Ray's Automotive repairs and replaces RV body panels, sidewall skins, rear caps, and fiberglass sections on motorhomes, travel trailers, and campers. Because most RV panels are bonded and sealed rather than bolted, we follow manufacturer procedures for adhesive and resealing so the repair does not turn into a water leak later. Where damage reaches framing, a floor joint, or a roof seam, we treat it as structural and repair it to specification.

Can you match the paint on a faded or custom-painted RV?

Yes. RV finishes are harder to match than automotive paint because of multi-stage graphics, gradients, and years of sun fade. We match to your RV as it looks today rather than to the original factory paint code, test the mix against the coach in daylight, and blend into adjacent panels instead of stopping at a hard edge. Where striping or graphics cross the repair, we reproduce the pattern so the line continues cleanly.

Do you replace RV and motorhome windshields?

Yes. We replace RV and motorhome windshields in the shop rather than in a driveway. RV glass is large, often curved or split into two bonded panels, and on many motorhomes it is bonded into the structure of the front cap, so the opening needs to be properly prepped and the urethane needs controlled cure time. We inspect and address surrounding trim, seals, and any frame corrosion at the same time, which is usually what prevents the next leak. Call 203-527-4116 to confirm glass availability before scheduling.
